Much more about water!

Well did you do the sum and wonder if it was right? It is and if you are not drinking that amount maybe that is why you don’t feel as good as you once did! But don’t close this blog and say I can never do that, forget it. Start where you are; may be you never drink water; well start with one glass of good water a day. Choose a moment when you are thirsty and before the soft drink, the coffee or tea have a glass of water

“But I drink lots of coffee and tea” you say; one or two cups of coffee a day is fine and tea has lots of benefits too, (including averting depression,) Green tea is especially good but pure water drunk as water is what is needed for your body’s health! Soft drinks, especially carbonated ones like Cola’s are a “minefield” to be avoided wherever possible. The normal ones are stacked with sugar which not only gives you a “high” to be followed by an energy “low” shortly afterwards but the sugar and acidity in them encourage diabetes, cancer and osteoporosis. Diet drinks are dangerous in different ways in that many of them use Aspartame as a sweetener. Although alleged to be safe it is used to induce tumours in laboratory animals and perhaps there is a correlation between diet drink consumption and the huge rise in brain tumour frequencies!

So what sort of water should we be drinking? A good start is to use a filter jug. Plain distilled water or water from RO plants, whilst very pure, have no beneficial minerals in them. It is possible to add clustering products to distilled water which helps the cell structure of your body. We use structured water prepared by distilling the water at home and adding a compound from Dr Valerie Saxion, “His Water –Structured water” see www.valeriesaxion.com/prodDetail/141.html . I drink a glass of this every morning and sometimes one during the day and it gives me a boost of energy. By adding alkalising drops to your other purified water it can be made more alkaline, a huge improvement for your body especially if you are fighting cancer . Beware of bottled water in plastic bottles; the chemicals in the plastic can damage your health severely and the origins and quality of many bottled waters is uncertain!

When to drink? Not too much with meals or just either side of them otherwise you dilute the acids needed for digesting your food. Not too much in the evening if you want a good night’s sleep! Make your main drinking time in the morning, mid morning and mid afternoon.

  1. I'll be interested to read more here. I'm not really blogging during Lent, but I'll be back after Easter, to read more about what you have to say here. :-)
