Water is Wisdom!

Well isn’t it amazing how sharing something inspires you all over again? Helen and I have been drinking more water and she has stopped coffee altogether and reports feeling much better and more energetic! If nobody else gets the benefit of this blog we have!I talked about the hazard of diet drinks, (the Aspartame,) and I mentioned the sugar shock of the other soft carbonated drinks and how that leads you towards Type 2 diabetes amongst other undesirable things. In case you wanted to forget that bit may I mention that the acidity of soft drinks is so great that your body goes into panic mode trying to neutralize that acid. Normal body measures don’t work fast enough so in desperation the body takes calcium out of your bones to try to get your body back into equilibrium; here we have one of the causes of osteoporosis. I mentioned that alkaline water helps to fight cancer. Dr Colbert reports that getting bodies alkaline as measured by urine samples is his first step in fighting cancer. Others report terminal cancer as being stopped dead by cutting out sugar and changing diet to fruit, vegetables and water. Isn’t it interesting that in the first chapter of the book of Daniel in the Bible, Daniel and his friends who are captives to the King of what is now Iraq asked as a special favour if they could eat vegetables and drink water rather than the elaborate diet of meat and wine that the other trainee civil servants were eating. At the end of the trial period of 10 days they appeared notably healthier to their trainer than all the other young men. At the end of their training period it is recorded that these young men were 10 times better in all matters of “wisdom and understanding” than their peers in the ranks of Royal Advisors. It makes you think that perhaps medical science and nutritional investigation are catching up with what God prescribed for health and wisdom 1000’s of year ago. I’ll return to this later!
